Welcome to Beaconsfield Cycling Club the home of cycling in Beaconsfield. A club created for social rides around the Chilterns. Or more appropriately rides up and down the Chilterns. Group rides are early on a Saturday and Sunday morning and usually last 2-4 hours. Prospective members are welcome to join one of our rides as a guest but please get in touch before riding with us. Contact details can be found under information. Please bear in mind that we are a road cycling club. We ride bikes with drop handlebars.. We have nothing against bikes with straight bars, mountain bikes or hybrids but they are simply much slower. If you would like to join us and don't have a road bike please get in touch first and we will see what we can arrange.
The spring sees a change to our regular Saturday morning rides for new, returning and less experienced riders. These wil now occur on the 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday of the month though regular short rides at a slower pace will occur every Saturday. This is a great opportunity to get on your bike for a fairly flat ride of around 15-20 miles. . Rides leave at 07:00 from the Cenotaph on Saturday and 08:00 on Sunday.
The last AGM was held on the 8th November 2017. The minutes of the last meeting and the various resolutions passed will be distributed to all members.
Do you use a Garmin device on your bike? By trial and error most of us have learnt how to setup and use these devices. If you would like some help loading a course and configuring navigation click on the Garmin logo above to download a short guide in PDF format.
The Club now has a range of kit available by order. Jerseys, bib shorts, winter jackets, gilets, arm warmers and leg warmers can be purchased at reasonable prices. Please bear in mind we only order kit when we have enough to fulfil a minimum order size and delivery can take several weeks. It is helpful to think about placing an oder a season ahead. Contact Simon Everitt for more details.
We are a Go-Ride accredited club running regular junior coaching sessions in a traffic free environment which is an exciting development for the club. Sessions are weekly during the spring, summer and autumn and ad-hoc during the colder winter months. Spaces are limited but offered on a first come forst served basis. They are suitable for 5-14 year olds. If you would like to register your interest and be kept up to date please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
